DSATX not starting (Error: 7) !??

Postby Meisterzunge » Wed Aug 06, 2008 2:19 pm

Hello all,

I still got another problem with my DSATX; since 2 days. Everithing worked finde, but than I got this problem:

If i turn the computer on (pushing the start button when engine runs) the DSATX gives me some strange error. The error light flashes in strange way - u can't see an error code from this. I've put my laptop on it to see what the power suply puts out. Here's some info from the hyper terminal:

DSATX:+029.5:12.32:00.00:00.03:00.01:11.00:0600:YYYY:7:0000

You see the "7" (state of shut down controller). What does it mean ?? I don't know any way to solve this problem.

Thought this could help: http://www.mpegbox.net/fourms/viewtopic.php?t=29, but it didn't work :(

So please help ;) Thanks...

This is what the DSATX says when I cut the VIN, reconnect it and use ignition:

DSATX:+030.4:12.32:00.00:00.03:00.01:11.00:0600:YYYN:2:0000

Mension: The motherboard header is not connected to the DSATX, so it couln'd start the computer. But the "2" is indicating that, right? The voltage values are 0V at this time. Does it mean, the DSATX is damaged?

EDIT:
I've tested a standard power suply for normal PC. The motherboard runs. It is definitly the DSATX's fault.

These are the states:

0 Wakeup
1 Start Pulse
2 Running
3 Countdown
4 Power Down
5 Hibernate
6 Bad Temp
7 Fault

Fault happens when one of the rails doesn't come up all the way. Sometimes you get an indicator of which rail is shorted or dead by the numbers that spit out right before it goes from state 2 to state 7..

I've got this error. It was the screens fault. Don't know the real cause, but if I disconnect the screen my DSATX runs correctly.

Thanks !!
