The OnSense line has to be connected to a voltage rail that is not a stanby rail. That is that when the computer goes to the off state, there shouldn't be any voltage on the line that is used for "On Sensing" Typically this can be a PS2 port or a hard drive +5 or +12v rail. If you use a 12V rail you need to use a DIODE (4148) in between the 12 volt rail sense point and the OnSense pin. The Diode points away from the OnSense pin.
